– Athabaskan Resource Company – Back to Joint Ventures
Introduction
Athabaskan Resource Company (ARC) is a consulting firm providing engineering, surveying, project management , geomatics and mapping expertise from its base in the heart of the oil sands in Northeastern Alberta. Although a new company, ARC has an impressive heritage from it’s formation as a joint venture of the Fort McKay First nation (FMFN) and Stewart Weir Group (SWG).
Athabaskan Resource Company is grounded in the belief that the First Nations are integral stakeholders in the development of natural resources. With it’s strong First Nations presence provided by Fort McKay First Nations, and the inherent 93 years of consulting experience of Stewart Weir Group, ARC brings a relevant new perspective to the provision of specialized and integrated consulting services.
To provide the best expertise for a particular project, Athabaskan Resource Company can draw upon the resources of both FMFN and SWG to create a specialized team with access to the knowledge and experience of both partners. This adaptable team approach adds value for clients by leveraging the capabilities of the core team in the Fort McMurray - based company.
