Introduction

Fuel Depot

In January of 2003, Muskeg Distributors LP became part of the Fort McKay Group of Companies. Muskeg Distributors LP main objective is to supply and deliver fuel to any location in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Since the inception of Muskeg Distributors LP we have established a contract with Albian Sands to haul bulk fuel to their mine site as well as the regional Shell deliveries. The super B’s we use contains modern up to date equipment to deliver the fuel safely and in record time. The reversible B-train can breakdown to a 5 axle to carry different fuel products. Delivery is accomplished through a temperature compensated deliveries. This unit can access areas where a normal B-train would not be able to service and haul more product than a smaller fuel deliver truck. We are the main, qualified carrier of diesel for Suncor in this region.

Also in 2003, we constructed a bulk station to provide 24 hours of service to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Our location is at the Fort McKay Industrial Park on Highway 63 north of Fort McKay. The bulk station is the only key lock accessible to the public north of Fort McMurray. We have 3 tanks that each holds approximately 75,000 litres of fuel. The tanks contain Gasoline, Clear Diesel and Marked Diesel.

Our key lock is monitored by a Petro-Vend system, that overseas each transaction that will help customers monitor there fuel consumption efficiently. In September 2005 we built a working relationship with Environmental Refuelling Systems out of Edmonton, who recently received the contract to supply fuel and tanks at the Nexen site. We are the transporters of all their diesel fuel which is transported locally and gasoline which comes from Edmonton.
