Fort McKay Services is separated contractually into two departments knows as the Mailroom and the Warehouse. The former is under the direct Supervision of the Facilities Department, and the latter, the  Materials Services Department. Though the two have combined employee meetings, orientations, etc… they are separated by contract arrangements in Syncrude estimation. Together, we provide skilled labour to Syncrude in the capacities of delivering all manner of materials on site to their appropriate locations. Our skilled drivers are responsible for every piece of material delivered to Syncrude site, and are intimately familiar with the layout and drop-points on site. In addition, we are responsible for the sorting and delivery of over 8000 pieces of mail daily to Syncrude offices. We handle all incoming and outgoing mail.

Syncrude is our sole client, and we are located directly on site to best provide our service. We have an excellent relationship with Syncrude, as we have successfully serviced this contract for the past 14 consecutive years. Our contract has never once been put out to tender, but has been consistently re-negotiated. We have learned a lot in our time at Syncrude, and have been able to expand into new service areas. Our latest expansion is into the lab doing   receiving, stocking and inventory. We have also started doing             deliveries in to Fort McMurray twice a week into Syncrude building for packages. We also have employees taking care of Warehouse like Beaver Creek, MMT and also CMS. Fort McKay is also into receiving, issuing at Aurora warehouse and 41-F warehouse.
